Simply follow the style of the short story below in the Amaginky Reader's Club ARC, then upload to the community zone for evaluation. Each month a vote will be held for the favorite, touching on content, imagery and enjoyment. Comments should always be helpful and encouraging while the stories themselves must be child-friendly in every way. Keep it fun and friendly at all times. We can't wait for your entries!

Once the short stories are evaluated they will be uploaded to our amaginky member-only Discourse group for full participation.

Guidelines on how to create and upload can be found below. We recommend google docs with an image watermark included but you can use any program that achieves the same result and effect.

Guidelines for short story posting

We hope you will have read the short story Ninny Noo Nah and noticed the particular flavor with added imagery to enhance the overall feel. The aim is to be humorous, canny, sometimes kooky with a twist in the outcome if possible. At Amaginky we like a subtle play on words with irony, parody and spoof.

For example: Game of Thrones could be Game of Cones, perhaps a battle for ice-cream supremacy?

Please keep your prose as inoffensive as possible, leaving out language that may cause offense to others of any race, gender, persuasion, ethnicity and beliefs. Stories here are aimed at the younger end of our membership, even those that are still learning to read can be read to by another family member or older friend so keep in mind an age target range of 13+ years but we hope everyone can enjoy and contribute to them.

We are sure you have the capability to create a fantastic one page story, for Ninny Noo Nah we used google docs and added our own image, you can use any system you wish to achieve similar results, please make sure it is all your own work and avoid AI for story telling. Best of luck this could be your stepping stone to a full blown novel.

Stories should consist of a title, one page of A4 text and an image to match the story line. An A4 sheet should provide up to 500 words approximately but you can provide less than this if that's what works for you, however the story should not go into a second page. It's a challenge, you begin by thinking 'how can I fill this page?' and end by wishing you had more room once the tale hits the ground running, the key is to get the ending just right. So what are you waiting for? Good luck!

Don't forget to include your story as a file attachment when you upload.

Please add some detail about yourself in a small message when you upload your story, for example: username and member amity.

We screen submissions before displaying so please be patient, we will read every story and reply to you. New successful stories will be added regularly to the community zone Insta for member viewing and comment.
